Academy makes the move to DVD distribution This year the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences will distribute shows nominated for Emmy Awards in outstanding sound editing and outstanding sound mixing categories via DVD so that judges may hear the shows in their original multichannel broadcast formats. In addition to enabling Dolby Digital 5.1 audio, shows can be heard in Dolby Surround and in stereo. Previously, the Academy distributed nominated content on VHS cassettes. Brandon Young Joins As Music Supervisor and Licensing Coordinator In his new position, Riley will direct all activities concerning the integration of music into the company's games and aggressively seek opportunities to expand Activision's alliances with record labels around the world. Additionally, he will identify, negotiate and secure worldwide music licenses for Activision's products. Supporting Riley in his new role will be Brandon Young who joins Activision as music supervisor and licensing coordinator. |
