File sharing runs rampant, user-friendly copy protection on the way With the music industry suffering significant losses to Internet piracy and lawsuits hitting file sharing enthusiasts in the pocketbook, the business model of distributing music and ultimately video is in a state of unrest -- some might call it anarchy. SunComm has developed a copy protection method that may be part of the answer to this rampant problem, and some big record companies including BMG are planning to use SunComm's technology.
